A Forever Home, Designed for Family Life
When our clients called to tell us they had purchased their forever home—a beautiful old house in need of some work—we were thrilled to help them reimagine it for the next chapter of their lives.
At the heart of the renovation was their dream kitchen: a light, welcoming space that would be equally beautiful and hardworking for a young family. Storage, organization and maximizing the available space were essential, so we began by understanding how the family would use the kitchen every day and what they wanted it to provide.
Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room transformed the layout, opening up the space and allowing us to introduce a peninsula. From there, every zone was carefully planned around family life. Custom cabinetry maximizes storage, while a banquette breakfast nook, coffee station and wet bar, concealed storage and dedicated places for the children’s everyday essentials allow the kitchen to function effortlessly without feeling crowded.
A fresh palette of soft grey and warm white cabinetry keeps the room light and airy, complemented by beautifully veined porcelain, warm brass accents, floating shelves and glass-front cabinetry that add character and visual interest.
The result is a bright, refined kitchen that works exceptionally hard while feeling relaxed and inviting—a space designed not only around how our clients wanted their home to look, but around how their family actually lives.
